Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to develop your existing musicianship, Dan Smith School of Drums can help you achieve your drumming goals!

Dan has has taught drums for over 18 years, and based in the Wirral. He has extensive drumming experience, having attained Grade 8 at the age of 17, completing a Master Performance Course at Drum Tech College in London, and touring with Rugby based band "Speak, Brother," performing on BBC Radio 2. He also co-wrote their 2018 full length debut album, "Young and Brave."

Dan offers Graded instruction (RSL), having 100% pass rate, however lessons are tailored to student's interests, ability, learning style and personal goals. Every student is different and Dan's experience with hundreds of students has given him the skills to adapt to different student requirements. He has a great ability to make students feel relaxed, maximising enjoyment while focusing on musical development. He teaches all ages, from 5-85 and is fully DBS checked. He has experience teaching students with autism, anxiety, ADHD and various physical and learning difficulties.
